Angel Diaz

Angel Diaz , currently 16 and a Senior at Curie High School, was born on August 8, 1997 and raised in Chicago, IL. His interest for politics started in the 7th grade when he learned about the Illinois local government and federal government. A year later he would go on to join his school's (Orozco Academy) Student Government. After his transition to Curie High School he started off as his homeroom's alternative Student Representative, he ran for the official Student Representative but lost by one vote. After serving his term, he joined his school's Executive Board as the Public Relations Chairmen. Shortly after, he became a Board Member of an activist organization known as Chicago Freedom School which strives to give youths in Chicago a voice. After serving as Curie's Public Relation Chairmen, he ran for Curie's Vice President and won. In the same year, he also co-founded and became the Vice President of the Chicago District Association of Student Councils (C.D.A.S.C.). After serving his term in 2014, he ran for President of C.D.A.S.C. and won. He also ran for Curie's Local School Council Student Representative and won. He was also appointed by the CEO of Chicago Public Schools to be apart of the CEO of CPS Student Advisory Council, in which he advised the CEO of CPS on school policies and concerns. Angel is currently serving as President of C.D.A.S.C and despite his responsibilities, he still gives his time to his community and works with city officials and student leaders across Chicago to strengthen the student voice in Chicago.
Donald Rapier

Donald Julius Rapier is a senior at Lindblom Math and Science Academy. He is the captain of his school's debate team as well as a member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Young Adult Council. He also writes opinion articles on student driven issues in publications such as the Huffington post and Chicago Bureau. He works on the CPS CEO Advisory council working on "policies implemented across CPS equally" and is currently working to fix school cell phone policies, school canteen services, and finals testing schedules.
Alexis Murillo

Winnie Lui

Winnie Lui is a rising senior from Whitney M. Young Magnet High School. She is highly involved with her school and holds leadership positions in Letter by Letter Club, Tutoring Club, and Pastry Club. Winnie has played the piano for six years and enjoys playing it in her free time. In addition, she is very active in her community. When she was young, she attended Chinese language classes at Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple. Currently, she is a summer camp leader at the temple and has been for the past five years. She also volunteers as a bilingual tutor in Chinatown. Winnie has a strong belief in going after her dreams and going beyond expectations. She hopes to inspire others to pursue their goals and to face their challenges head-on.
Angelique White

Angelique white is a senior who attends Percy l Julian high school a Captain on the cheerleader team, along with being on the T.V broadcast crew, and is on student Senate club that helps with trying to make schools better. Angelique has a one year old son and suggests that even though you have a child don't never let that stop you from following your dreams and going to school.Angelique would like to attend Columbia college for business (fashion design) or T.V broadcast or hair stylist.

Husam Haj

Husam Haj is a senior at John F. Kennedy HS that also attended Richard J. Daley College through the dual enrollment program. He is a part-time research assistant at the University of Chicago’s Center for Robust Decision Making on Climate and Energy Policy. He is also a proud scholar of the IIT Boeing Scholar Academy, where he continuously explored STEM fields throughout his sophomore and junior summer. His favorite subjects are math and science, with a small passion for philosophy. Husam has always been an active member in his community. He has started the Aquaponics Lab at his high school and is the Captain of the JFK Debate Team. His passion for providing a quality education for every individual drove him to apply for the Student Advisory Council. In the future, Husam hopes to major in mathematics with a specialization in economics.
Andrea Rodriguez

Andrea is a rising senior at Benito Juarez Community Academy High School. She was born in Mexico and raised in the city of Chicago. She enjoys taking on in many of her school leadership clubs. She is also very involved outside of school doing community outreach. Andrea has a strong passion for immigration rights as she constantly stays involved with hosting marches and rallies in which she advocates for the thousands of "dreamers" (undocumented students). Through her participation in the CPS CEO SAC; Andrea hopes that CPS schools will soon better the issues that most impact students to further enrich the education of future generations.
